Week 8

 Tuesday 5th March 2024

  • Yesterday I had the day off, hence why there wasn't a blog entry for that day.
  • I am working on the presentation today, and hopefully I will have it completed, as I don't have too many things to fill in left.
  • I am also writing down the notes so that I can see what I can read out.
  • I had a meeting with Ré and he gave some advice for the presentation, such as what kind of challenges I faced.
Wednesday 6th March 2024
  • I got emailed telling me that I need to email all my footage and music that I have made while at my time at Tyndall, so I will be doing that.
  • Along with that, I will also work some more on my presentation and writing notes. I don't have too much left to complete with it, and it is only required to be 5-7 minutes, so it isn't totally necessary to have a huge amount of slides.
  • I was informed by Trevor that I will be having a Zoom call with him this Friday at 3:30pm.
  • I have been working on my presentation and I have the notes all written:
  • I am also doing some practice runs to see if there are things that I can add, to make sure the presentation is not too short.
Thursday 7th March 2024
  • Today marks the final day I work at Tyndall, so with that I will have to give up all the stuff I got, like the laptop and the badge and keep my desk all clean. Although the desk never tended to get messy so that shouldn't be an issue. I should check if there is any trash lying around my desk though, because that shouldn't hurt.
  • I also got the presentation complete with some new notes.

  • We will be having our presentations very shortly. I will be fifth in line so that way I can get some preparation.
  • I have also been making some edits to my presentation and adding some more slides.

Monday 15th January 2024 For my first time visiting Tyndall, I had to take part in a first day on-boarding session. We were shown various PowerPoint presentations regarding the company and all the rules that it has regarding using the computers or the rooms within the building. We were also given sheets that we had to fill in to create our accounts for Tyndall, including creating our own passwords. We were shown the safety protocols and what we need to do during the event of a fire or a gas leak. I met up with my supervisor, Ré O'Cinneide, and we had a chat about what we were going to do in Tyndall. I was given a list of things I need to do: Do everything from the email you will get. Week 12

  Monday 8th April 2024 I have all the pictures organized for the videos, and I should have all the videos done by the end of the week. I plan to finally get all the day 3 and Studios Day folders done and with that every single folder will have videos to them. Today's focus will be to edit the videos, I won't actually render them until later on in the week. But at least with this, I should be all set. I finished editing the entire video. And then with tomorrow (or sometime during the week if not that) I will have finished rendering every folder. Tuesday 9th April 2024 Today I have been focusing on rendering the videos that I have edited yesterday. I have rendered a total of 11 videos. All of which go through the Day 3 and Studios Day folders and subfolders. And with that, the entirety of the TEI Photos have been completed. I have sent the videos over to Trevor for review, and I have let him know that is the last of the videos that need to be done.

  Monday 26th February 2024 Today I am working from home so that I may focus on working on my audio and video work. I ended up composing a new song for a video that I am making. I also received news regarding my assignment that told me about my presentation that I need to do as part of it, which is worth 30%. Everyone is doing it on different weeks, but I'm doing mine on the 7th of March at 2:00pm. The presentation lasts for 5-7 minutes and will focus on my experience of work placement. The students of the second year Creative Digital Media class will also ask me questions. I need to talk about the company and what my role in said company, as well as what skills I have learned and any challenges I faced. Regarding this presentation, I was thinking on working on that when I work in Tyndall.
