Week 9

 Monday 18th March 2024

  • I was sent some photos that I can use to create some short minute long videos. I didn't get to look at the email until today though. Luckily, they were still available to download by the time I saw the link.
  • I'm currently extracting the folder, though there are 1600+ pictures.
  • These pictures in the folder are divided into various subfolders so I can easily find a way to make videos out of them.

Tuesday 19th March 2024
  • Today I plan to work on those videos.
  • I decided that for ones that have very few photos I can fit various of these into one video.
  • I have rendered two videos from five of the folders to get me started.

  • In the coming weeks, I will be working on doing the videos for the other folders too, and if I ever get to it, also compose some songs if that's necessary. I sent these two videos to Trevor to see what he thought before I start work on the others.
Wednesday 20th March 2024
  • I got some feedback from Trevor yesterday, telling me that the videos I sent last night. He did tell me that while they looked good, he did give me some advice for improvements.
    • Adding the conference logo to the video:
    • Keeping the text on screen preceding the sets of pictures for longer.
    • Rendering the video with better export settings, as apparently some of the footage looked pixellated (though the fact I converted the wmv videos to mp4 probably didn't help)




  • I have these videos rendered with the conference logo, longer text time and in mp4 format natively rather than wmv converted to mp4. These have been sent to Trevor so hopefully I receive some feedback.
Thursday 21st March 2024
  • Today I'm going to look through each of the folders so that I can plan out each of the videos ahead. I have a lot of photos in each of the folders, but a lot of the pictures used might not be very good shots, so I decided that I would get rid of any of these and keep the good shots (I will keep the .zip file just in case though).
  • With this, I'll be able to cut down the amount of pictures so I don't have to constantly decide which ones before every single video.
Friday 22nd March 2024
  • I have rendered two more videos for today relating to the day 1 demo showcases.
  • I was also thinking to myself on if I should keep doing these during the weekends so that I can progress a little bit faster.
  • With the progress I am making right now, I feel very satisfied and confident with the work that I have.

Monday 15th January 2024 For my first time visiting Tyndall, I had to take part in a first day on-boarding session. We were shown various PowerPoint presentations regarding the company and all the rules that it has regarding using the computers or the rooms within the building. We were also given sheets that we had to fill in to create our accounts for Tyndall, including creating our own passwords. We were shown the safety protocols and what we need to do during the event of a fire or a gas leak. Week 12

  Monday 8th April 2024 I have all the pictures organized for the videos, and I should have all the videos done by the end of the week. I plan to finally get all the day 3 and Studios Day folders done and with that every single folder will have videos to them. Today's focus will be to edit the videos, I won't actually render them until later on in the week. But at least with this, I should be all set. I finished editing the entire video. And then with tomorrow (or sometime during the week if not that) I will have finished rendering every folder. Tuesday 9th April 2024 Today I have been focusing on rendering the videos that I have edited yesterday. I have rendered a total of 11 videos. All of which go through the Day 3 and Studios Day folders and subfolders. And with that, the entirety of the TEI Photos have been completed. I have sent the videos over to Trevor for review, and I have let him know that is the last of the videos that need to be done.

  Monday 26th February 2024 Today I am working from home so that I may focus on working on my audio and video work. I ended up composing a new song for a video that I am making. I also received news regarding my assignment that told me about my presentation that I need to do as part of it, which is worth 30%. Everyone is doing it on different weeks, but I'm doing mine on the 7th of March at 2:00pm. The presentation lasts for 5-7 minutes and will focus on my experience of work placement. The students of the second year Creative Digital Media class will also ask me questions. I need to talk about the company and what my role in said company, as well as what skills I have learned and any challenges I faced. Regarding this presentation, I was thinking on working on that when I work in Tyndall.
