Jake's Work Placement Prep

  Monday 1st April 2024 I had the idea of making some videos but not rendering them until I have free time on my hands. Tuesday 2nd April 2024 I emailed Trevor about the previous week's blog post, which I didn't email before due to the Easter break. I have also been rendering various different videos throughout tonight. All of these videos relate to Day 2 Session 4, so with that, all the videos from that subfolder have been done. I have also emailed Trevor about these new videos. As of now, I only have the Student Design Challenge in the Day 2 folder. As well as the Day 3 and Studios Day folders. Wednesday 3rd April 2024 Today I started work on the Student Design Challenge folder in Day 2. Monday 25th March 2024 Last night I have been organizing all the photos that I have and today I'm going to render as many videos as I possibly can. I also noticed that two of the videos I rendered weren't rendered properly so I decided I would look over those and fix them. I have now rendered seven new videos, and with that, in terms of the day 1 pictures, I'm only missing editing the session 1 folder, and for the day 2 pictures, I need to edit the session 4 folder and all the pictures in the Student Design Challenge. Tuesday 26th March 2024 I have been looking through my folders and trying to organize each of the images that I want to use for the coming weeks. I also have been thinking of perhaps ploughing down through the day 1 folder so that is all complete. Maybe I could also put these into my CV and talk about how I worked on videos as voluntary work.   Monday 18th March 2024 I was sent some photos that I can use to create some short minute long videos. I didn't get to look at the email until today though. Luckily, they were still available to download by the time I saw the link. I'm currently extracting the folder, though there are 1600+ pictures. These pictures in the folder are divided into various subfolders so I can easily find a way to make videos out of them. Tuesday 19th March 2024 Today I plan to work on those videos. I decided that for ones that have very few photos I can fit various of these into one video. I have rendered two videos from five of the folders to get me started.   Tuesday 5th March 2024 Yesterday I had the day off, hence why there wasn't a blog entry for that day. I am working on the presentation today, and hopefully I will have it completed, as I don't have too many things to fill in left. I am also writing down the notes so that I can see what I can read out. I had a meeting with Ré and he gave some advice for the presentation, such as what kind of challenges I faced. Wednesday 6th March 2024 I got emailed telling me that I need to email all my footage and music that I have made while at my time at Tyndall, so I will be doing that. Along with that, I will also work some more on my presentation and writing notes. I don't have too much left to complete with it, and it is only required to be 5-7 minutes, so it isn't totally necessary to have a huge amount of slides.   Monday 26th February 2024 Today I am working from home so that I may focus on working on my audio and video work. I ended up composing a new song for a video that I am making. I also received news regarding my assignment that told me about my presentation that I need to do as part of it, which is worth 30%. Everyone is doing it on different weeks, but I'm doing mine on the 7th of March at 2:00pm. The presentation lasts for 5-7 minutes and will focus on my experience of work placement. The students of the second year Creative Digital Media class will also ask me questions. I need to talk about the company and what my role in said company, as well as what skills I have learned and any challenges I faced. Regarding this presentation, I was thinking on working on that when I work in Tyndall.
